LOUISVILLE, Ky. (May 16, 2022) - The National Fastpitch Coaches Association (NFCA) announced the 384 student-athletes from 197 schools who comprise the 2022 NFCA Division III All-Region teams, seeing two from the Western New England softball team.

LOUISVILLE, Ky. (May 24, 2022) - The National Fastpitch Coaches Association (NFCA) has named 54 athletes to the 2022 NFCA Division III All-American Teams, seeing Western New England second baseman Dina DiBlasio collect her first All-American status, being selected to the third team.

Three Golden Bear athletes were recently named to the 2022 Intercollegiate Women's Lacrosse Coaches Association (IWLCA) Division III Academic Honor Roll. Emily Lake (Naples, ME), Liz Mazza (East Longmeadow, MA), and Reilly Miller (Goshen, NY) selected the group of 1,099 athletes. To be eligible for this honor, student-athletes must be either a junior, senior, or graduate student in the classroom, and have earned a cumulative GPA of 3.50 or greater.

The Massachusetts Society of Certified Public Accountants (MassCPAs) has awarded the Barbara M. Iannoni Scholarship from the MassCPAs Educational Foundation's 2022 Scholarship Program to Danielle Orr of Enfield. She was one of 44 students selected to receive a scholarship from the program. The students were honored for their awards at MassCPAs annual, member-wide networking event, Connect 2022, on May 10.

Western New England University (WNE) School of Law is pleased to announce the two inaugural recipients of the Eisenberg Social Justice Fellowship, Rafael Irizarry-Fields and Natasha Claudio. Rafael and Natasha will both be engaged in novel legal projects to expand the reach and impact of legal organizations that provide free legal services to underserved communities in Western Massachusetts.

Western New England University held its 2022 Graduate Commencement ceremony on May 22 in the Anthony S. Caprio Alumni Healthful Living Center, celebrating the Class of 2022. The keynote speaker Sheila Barcohana Hollender (L '80), a leading authority on women's issues, environmental health and sustainability, encouraged the graduates to "be ready to take on the challenges of the future. You can do it because you already have the tools in hand."

Western New England University held its undergraduate commencement ceremony on May 21 in the Anthony S. Caprio Alumni Healthful Living Center, celebrating the Class of 2022. The keynote speaker Nick Newell ('08), a professional Mixed Martial Artist, talked about the power of dedication. "To be great, you must be willing to do things others will not so you can achieve things that others can't." He told the class of 2022 that they have proven their resiliency and encouraged them to continue chasing their goals. Congratulations and best wishes to the newest Golden Bear Alumni. A total of 35 Western New England University College of Engineering students have earned their Lean Six Sigma Green Belt Certification.

Western New England University has inducted 43 student-athletes into the Chi Alpha Sigma National Honor Society on May 6 in Rivers Memorial Hall.

The Western New England University chapter of Omicron Delta Kappa National Honor Society welcomed 44 students at the University's annual induction ceremony which took place virtually on April 16.

The Western New England University Delta Tau Chapter of Alpha Zeta Omega Professional Pharmaceutical Fraternity welcomed eight students at the 1st annual induction ceremony, which took place on April 1st in the University's Center for the Sciences and Pharmacy.
