In a remarkable gathering of academic excellence and achievement, Western New England University (WNE) marked the Annual Honors Program with a distinguished first-year presidential reception. The event, hosted on the University Commons' rooftop terrace, brought together esteemed administrators and exceptional students who have embarked on a journey of scholarly pursuit. The Honors Program is a prestigious platform open to students who have been invited by their respective colleges. This program is designed to offer academically qualified and highly motivated students the chance to engage with a community of like-minded peers and immerse themselves in challenging courses delivered by some of the university's most distinguished faculty members. It provides students with the opportunity to explore a variety of disciplines alongside fellow Honors students, transcending traditional disciplinary boundaries and broadening their educational horizons. Furthermore, students actively participate in leadership activities that are closely tied to the Honors Program.

During their senior award ceremonies, each College announced the recipient of the prestigious Dean Award.

Western New England University held its Sigma Nu Tau award ceremony on April 25th in Sleith Hall's Wood Auditorium.

The Massachusetts Society of Certified Public Accountants (MassCPAs) has awarded the Barbara M. Iannoni Scholarship from the MassCPAs Educational Foundation's 2022 Scholarship Program to Danielle Orr of Enfield. She was one of 44 students selected to receive a scholarship from the program. The students were honored for their awards at MassCPAs annual, member-wide networking event, Connect 2022, on May 10.

Western New England University held its College of Arts and Sciences Senior Awards Ceremony on May 5th on the University Commons lawn. The University honored 25 graduating seniors who were selected based on their academic achievement in the major or based on their overall class standing.

College of Business Dean Robert Kleine announced that Gregory Glidden is the recipient of the 2016 Salvatore C. Mazzaferro Award.

College of Business Dean Robert Kleine announced that senior Management and Leadership major, Macy Peach, is the recipient of the 2016 Lawrence H. Nath Management award, given annually to the Management major with the highest cumulative grade-point average at the completion of the junior year. Peach, of Enfield, Connecticut, received a monetary gift and a certificate in recognition of this honor. In addition, Peach's name will be added to the plaque of students who have received this award previously. The plaque is displayed in the foyer of the College of Business in Churchill Hall.
