University Entrepreneurs Selected for Valley Venture Mentors' Accelerator Program

Four Western New England University students were selected to participate in the Valley Venture Mentors' (VVM) Accelerator Program. The goal of VVM is to build, support, and maintain a community that nurtures start-up businesses creating an entrepreneurial renaissance according to their website. AnyCafe the student run start-up began operations in October 2015.

Western New England University inducted seven students into its Maureen Keizer chapter of National Residence Hall Honorary (NRHH). Skookum Awards

The Western New England University Alumni Association announces the 2015 Skookum Awards honoring 15 students who have demonstrated excellence in academics, co-curricular activities, athletics, volunteer work, and community service. The word "Skookum" in the Chinook language means "excellence." This year's award recipients come from diverse backgrounds and were nominated by faculty, staff, and coaches.

Leadership and Teamwork Training

Nine Western New England University students arrived on campus a week early for intensive training for their positions in the St. Germain Campus Center. The seven Building Supervisors and two Area Managers participated in training about the role and function of the campus union, FISH philosophy of customer service, supervising their peers, best practices in building management, and teamwork.
