Thomas Cowin Named Orientation Group Leader at Western New England University

Thomas Cowin of Hampden, ME, has been named an Orientation Group Leader for the 2013 Summer Orientation and Registration (SOAR) program at Western New England University. Cowin is majoring in International Business at the University.

During the SOAR program this summer, Cowin will assist new students in engaging the college experience as active participants, not bystanders. A part of the unique first-year program at Western New England University, the central goal of the SOAR program is to provide the framework for academic integration, to construct realistic expectations about the college experience, and to lay the groundwork for community association.

Western New England University is a private, independent, coeducational institution founded in 1919. Located on an attractive 215-acre suburban campus in Springfield, Massachusetts, Western New England University serves 3,700 students, including 2,550 full-time undergraduate students.
