Spotts Honored at Western New England University

Peter E. Spotts of Belchertown, MA, received the Nancy Hoar Excellence in Communication Award at the College Honors Ceremonies at Western New England University. This award is given to the graduating senior with the highest overall GPA in Communication. Ms. Brenda Garton, Professional Educator of Communication, presented the award.

Graduating summa cum laude with a Bachelor of Arts in Communication, Spotts is a member of Lambda Pi Eta, Alpha Lambda Delta, and Omicron Delta Kappa national honor societiea .

Peter's interned for the Springfield Republican Newspaper after which the newspaper hired him as a sports reporter. Peter's also worked for MassLive, The Reminder Publications, The Belchertown Sentinel, Garvey Communications, and he worked in video production running camera and editing video highlights for every home Springfield Armor basketball game last year. On campus, he hosted his own talk show on WNEK, worked for the office of Information Technology, and wrote stories for the University's Marketing Department. Peter will be earning his MBA at Western New England University in the fall.
