Six University Students Complete Intensive Study at Paris Business College

2017 Sep 22

Anna Pickard was one of six Western New England University students who spent the month of July in Paris, France at the IESEG School of Management, a member of the University Catholique de Lille, under a special arrangement with Western New England University. The six students attended classes during the week days, and experienced cultural events and field trips each weekend.

Classes included an introduction to the European Union, Corporate Social Responsibility and Marketing, Intercultural Communication, Irrational Consumer Behavior, Supply Chain Management, Fashion Business, Corporate Diplomacy, Managing and Leading, and International Sport Management. In addition, the students took classes in the French language.

This unique opportunity was made possible through the partnership agreement between Western New England University and IESEG School of Management, which annually sends several French students to study for a full academic year at Western New England University.

Professor Curt Hamakawa, a former Director of International Relations for the United States Olympic Committee who now teaches at Western New England University, taught a course in International Sport Management at IESEG during the last week in July, and photographed the students at the Grande Arche in the La Defense business district of Paris, where the school is located.
