Raus Honored at Western New England University

Christina L. Raus of Agawam, MA, received the Max Y. Litman English Prize at the College Honors Ceremonies at Western New England University. Litman English Prize. The Max Y. Litman English Prize is awarded to the graduating English major who has demonstrated superior skills at literary analysis and written communication. Dr. Kelly Klingensmith, Assistant Professor of English, presented the award.

Graduating summa cum laude with a Bachelor of Arts in English, Raus is a member of Sigma Tau Delta, and Omicron Delta Kappa national honor societies.

Christina is the winner of Dean's prizes for literary criticism, poetry, and creative nonfiction. Recently, her short story, "Emaculate Virgin" won a contest through Month9Books and will be published later this year in a short story collection on Retellings of Biblical Tales. Christina has been accepted into the MFA program in Creative Writing at Sarah Lawrence College.
