ROTC Cadet Joshua W. Griffith Honored at Minuteman Battalion Awards Ceremony

The Western New England University Army ROTC cadets recently hosted the annual Minuteman Battalion Awards Ceremony in the Lyman and Leslie Wood Auditorium. Cadet Joshua Griffith was awarded the Distinguished Military Graduate Award. This award distinguishes military students who possess outstanding qualities of leadership and high moral character. Cadet Griffith also received the American Legion Scholastic Excellence Award presented for exceptional scholastic achievement.

The Minuteman Battalion is comprised of cadets from ten colleges and universities in western Massachusetts, with Western New England University having one of the largest contingents. All awardees were selected by their military leadership advisors and Professors of Military Leadership based on academic and military proficiency, along with the criteria established by the awarding organizations.
