Maryann Gubala Awarded at Western New England University Student Media Festival

Western New England University graduating senior Maryann Gubala from Wilbraham, MA was among a group of 15 distinguished winners in the 14th annual Student Media Festival held in the Lyman and Leslie Wood Auditorium on the University campus. Gubala's video "Sturbridge Village" earned second place in the Jury Award PSA/Commerical category.

The Student Media Festival is a competitive festival open to all students designed to give students the opportunity to express their creativity and production skills and to showcase and celebrate the work students have produced throughout the academic year.

The event is sponsored by the College of Arts and Sciences and the Department of Communication.

Gubala is majoring in Communication - Media Theory & Production at the University.
