Humerick Honored at Western New England University

Matthew D. Humerick of Bristol, CT, received the Outstanding Full-time Student in Sport Management award as well as The Dean's Award for Academic Excellence at the College Honors Ceremonies at Western New England University. Dr. Sharianne Walker, Chair and Professor of Sport Management and Dr. Julie Siciliano, Dean of the Western New England University College of Business, presented the awards.

Graduating summa cum laude with a Bachelor of Science degree in Business Administration in Sport Management and Marketing, Humerick is a member of the Alpha Mu Alpha, Beta Gamma Sigma, Omicron Delta Kappa, Alpha Lambda Delta, Mortar Board, and National Residence Hall Honor Societies, the Honors Program and Who’s Who Among American Universities and Colleges 2013-3014.

Humerick has an impressive 3.98 GPA, was one of two students to receive the 2012 College of Business Dean’s Academic Achievement Award for having the highest cumulative GPA after the first two semesters of full-time study and is a Skookum award winner. In the Fall of 2012, Humerick took part in the Western New England University College of Business Sophomore Experience Abroad in London. During his time at Western New England, Humerick was the President of Club Soccer and the Vice President of Beta Gamma Sigma and the Sport Management Association.

Upon graduation, Humerick plans to attend the University of Michigan Law School.
