Francisco Alvarado Honored at Western New England University Cocurricular Awards Ceremony

Francisco Alvarado received the Student Association Community Service Award at the 2017 Cocurricular Awards Ceremony at Western New England University in Rivers Memorial Hall. The Student Association Community Service Award is given to a student who, through volunteer service, demonstrated significant involvement in and contributions to the external civic community. Matthew C. Koslowski presented the award.

"Western New England University is truly enhanced by the students honored here this evening by their demonstrated willingness to serve the community, both on and off campus. Our lives have been enriched by their service." said Maureen Hart Keizer, Associate Dean of Students, at the dinner celebration held on April 29.

Alvarado is majoring in Criminal Justice with Crime & Society Concentration.

The Office of Student Activities and Leadership Development annually coordinates the Cocurricular Awards dinner and ceremony marking the culmination of a year of student programming and community service by over 70 active clubs and organizations at Western New England University. From a pool of over 90 deserving nominated students, 18 were selected to receive the prestigious Cocurricular Award.
