Christopher Manno Honored at Western New England University

Christopher L. Manno of Sudbury, MA, received the Achievement Award in Information Technology during the College Honors Ceremonies at Western New England University. The award is given to an outstanding graduating senior in Information Technology. Heidi Ellis, Chair of the Computer Science and Information Technology Department and Professor of Computer Science, presented the award.

During his time at the University, Manno worked with the Office of Information Technology where he provided phone and on-site support for the university community. He also worked as an intern with Major League Baseball in New York City during the summer of 2013, and spent two summers as a student research intern in the Department of Pathology at the University of Washington where he developed a web-based program to determine the specificity of dementia diagnoses. While at the University of Washington, he also converted pathology slide image libraries to digital format and archived the libraries.

Manno is a member of the Omicron Delta Kappa national leadership honor society, and graduated summa cum laude with a Bachelor of Science in Information Technology.
