Christina Wilks Named Orientation Group Leader at Western New England College

Christina Wilks of Windsor, CT, has been named an Orientation Group Leader for the 2011 Summer Orientation and Registration (SOAR) program at Western New England College. Wilks is a Junior majoring in Law and Society at the College.

During the SOAR program this summer, Wilks will assist new students in engaging the college experience as active participants, not bystanders. A part of the unique first-year program at Western New England College, the central goal of the SOAR program is to provide the framework for academic integration, to construct realistic expectations about the college experience, and to lay the groundwork for community association.

Western New England College is a private, independent, coeducational institution founded in 1919. Located on an attractive 215-acre suburban campus in Springfield, Massachusetts, Western New England serves 3,700 students, including 2,500 full-time undergraduate students. Undergraduate, graduate, and professional programs are offered through Schools of Arts and Sciences, Business, Engineering, Law, and Pharmacy.
