Anne Mercer Honored at Western New England University

Anne E. Mercer of New Milford, CT, received the Outstanding Student in Marketing Communication/Advertising Award at the College Honors Ceremonies at Western New England University. The Outstanding Student in Marketing Communication/Advertising Award is given to a graduating senior selected by the faculty for excellence in the study of Marketing Communication/Advertising. Paul Costanzo, Chair and Professor of Marketing, presented the award.

Mercer graduated summa cum laude with a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration. She was recently inducted as a member of Beta Gamma Sigma Business Honor Society, is a member of Alpha Lambda Delta, Omicron Delta Kappa, and Who's Who Among American Universities and Colleges. She is also a recipient of the Western New England University Skookum Award of Excellence.

During her time at Western New England, Mercer was an executive board member of the Western New England University Collegiate Chapter of the American Marketing Association, and a Public Relations Intern for McNeely Pigott & Fox Public Relations in Nashville, TN. She was an Associate Marketing Intern and later a Marketing Assistant for Envision Marketing Group, a Social Networking and Media Intern for Sweet City, as well as a Marketing and Research Associate for the Connecticut Science Center, and the WNE Marketing and External Affairs Department. A third degree black belt, she was captain of the Western New England University Martial Arts club winning the 2012 MVP.

Currently Mercer is a Content Manager for Titan Web Marketing Solutions in Murfreesboro, TN where she manages all in-house and client content.
